Why Tanzania
Visit the Serengeti migration areas and Ngorongoro Crater, climb Kilimanjaro or explore Stone Town. Allow travel time between destinations.
Wildlife and national parks
Serengeti and Ngorongoro offer well-established safari routes. Ruaha and the southern parks suit travellers looking for quieter areas.
Culture & coastline
Arrange community-led visits around Lake Eyasi and the Maasai highlands, or explore Swahili history on the coast.
Combine safari, climbing and the coast
Add Zanzibar after your safari, or begin with a Kilimanjaro climb. We’ll plan the transfers and rest days around your dates.
Best seasons
Choose your travel month around wildlife movements, climbing conditions, rainfall and visitor numbers.
Dry season (Jun–Oct)
Prime wildlife viewing as animals gather near water. Cooler nights, clear skies, and popular migration river-crossing windows in the north. Book lodges early.
Short rains & green season (Nov–Dec)
Lush landscapes, fewer crowds, and excellent birding. Short afternoon showers are common; photography can be spectacular with dramatic skies.
Calving & warm months (Jan–Mar)
Wildebeest calve on the southern Serengeti plains, attracting predators. Drier periods between the rains also suit Kilimanjaro climbs.
Long rains (Apr–May)
Some camps offer lower rates during the rains, but remote roads can become muddy. Allow flexibility in your route and check lodge opening dates.
Responsible travel
- Choose operators who treat guides and porters fairly, follow park rules and keep a safe distance from wildlife.
- Support community-led cultural visits; avoid performances that feel extractive or staged without consent and fair pay.
- Pack light, refill bottles where possible, and follow lodge guidance on water and waste in fragile ecosystems.
- Travel insurance, yellow fever certificate requirements (where applicable), and malaria precautions are part of responsible planning. We’ll discuss these during enquiry follow-up.
