Journey reference: BA-4D-TAR-NIGHT
Lake Manyara and the Rift Valley landscape in northern Tanzania · Photo credit ↗Stay inside Tarangire for two nights. Explore the baobab country by day, join one planned night drive, and enjoy a full day without changing lodges.
Ideal for travellers who prefer more time in one park and an after-dark experience. No Ngorongoro, Manyara or Serengeti visit is included.
June-October is a useful dry-season starting point. All dates require confirmation of lodge and night-drive operation.
One Arusha night and two Tarangire nights. Day 2 includes a rest before the night drive; Day 3 stays in Tarangire with a flexible start; Day 4 is the return/departure day.
Private road safari with locally guided activities where listed
Arrival and the final travel day are included in the trip length. Driving times are planning guides; weather, roads and formalities can change the day.
Day 1
Meet your Boker Adventures representative at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and transfer to your hotel. Rest after your flight; no safari or cultural visit is scheduled today. Your briefing covers the route, daily timings, meals, medical or mobility needs, wildlife etiquette and any booked extras. Late arrivals receive their briefing the following morning.
Planning time: JRO to hotel: approximately 1-1.5 hours, depending on traffic and hotel location. Late dinner must be arranged in advance.
Day 2
Leave Arusha after breakfast and drive to Tarangire. Enjoy selected wildlife stops on the way to Tarangire Safari Lodge, with lunch arranged before an afternoon rest. In the evening, join the pre-booked night game drive on a permitted route inside the national park. Look for nocturnal animals and birds with the approved guide, then return to your lodge room to sleep.
Planning time: Arusha to the main gate: approximately 2-3 hours, then the lodge transfer and wildlife stops. Plan about 1.5-2 hours for the night activity, with the operator confirming timing. It is an evening outing followed by an overnight lodge stay, not an all-night drive. Seats in the activity vehicle may be shared.
Day 3
After last night's outing, choose a later breakfast or a morning drive with your guide. Explore the river habitats and baobab country, with a picnic or a lodge lunch according to your preference. Leave time for an afternoon break and return to the same lodge. No hotel transfer is scheduled today.
Planning time: Game-drive distances depend on wildlife and your preferences. One night drive on Day 2 is included; a second outing tonight is an optional extra and requires separate availability and pricing.
Day 4
After breakfast, leave Tarangire with any incidental wildlife viewing on the exit route, then return to Arusha for lunch. Continue to JRO for a flight whose timing Boker has approved, or finish at an Arusha hotel. No separate game drive is promised today. An early flight requires an extra night or a revised programme.
Planning time: Allow approximately 3-4 hours from Tarangire Safari Lodge to Arusha including ordinary exit formalities, plus 1-1.5 hours to JRO and airline check-in. Road conditions and stops may extend the journey. No hotel night is included today.
These are alternatives from the itinerary, not a reservation. We confirm the property, room and meal plan for each stop in your quote. Upgrades can change the budget.
